VWorld 2.0 Mobile App v2.5 Released — Faster, Smaller, Biometric Login

VWorld 2.0 mobile app version 2.5 began rolling out on 5 April 2026 for both Android (APK) and iOS. This release focuses on speed, install size, and security — three areas where mobile players have given consistent feedback. Here's what's new and how to update.

What's new in v2.5

60% smaller install size

The app's compressed download size has dropped from 78 MB to 31 MB. The reduction comes from removing legacy game-loader code, switching to vector graphics for UI elements, and consolidating duplicate localisation files. For players in areas with limited mobile data or slow connections, this is the biggest practical improvement of the release.

Three-second cold start

Cold-start time on a mid-range Android device (such as a Redmi Note 12) has dropped from 8 seconds to under 3. The app pre-loads only essential UI and lazy-loads game lobbies on demand, which is the same pattern used by major mobile-first apps like TikTok and Instagram.

Biometric login

Face ID (iOS) and fingerprint login (Android) are now supported. Once enabled, you can log in without typing your password. The credential is stored in your device's secure enclave — VWorld never sees the biometric data itself, only a confirmation that your device authenticated you.

To enable: open the app → Settings → Security → Biometric Login → toggle on.

Push notifications

The app can now send push notifications for jackpot wins on your active games, promotion alerts, deposit and withdrawal confirmations, and unusual login activity. Notifications are opt-in by category — you choose which types you want to receive.

To configure: Settings → Notifications. We recommend at minimum keeping security alerts (deposit confirmations, login alerts) enabled.

Unified wallet UI

The wallet view now shows your single unified balance prominently with one-tap access to deposit, withdraw, transaction history, and bonus status. The previous design required two taps to reach withdrawal — that's now one.

Dark mode support

Dark mode follows your device's system theme by default. To override and force light or dark mode regardless of system setting, go to Settings → Display → Theme.

How to update

Android

1. Open the official VWorld 2.0 download portal (link on the main website footer).
2. Tap 'Download Latest APK'.
3. Allow installation from unknown sources if prompted (Settings → Security → Install Unknown Apps).
4. Open the downloaded APK and follow the install prompt.
5. Your existing login session and saved data carry over automatically.

iOS

iOS users update through the same official download portal. Apple requires installation via configuration profile due to App Store gambling app restrictions. The portal walks through the profile installation process, which takes about 60 seconds.

Compatibility

• Android: 8.0 (Oreo) and above. Lower versions can continue using v2.4 but won't receive future security updates.
• iOS: 14.0 and above.
• Storage required: 80 MB free space minimum.

Known issues

• On Samsung devices running One UI 6.0 with aggressive battery optimisation, push notifications may be delayed. Solution: disable battery optimisation for the VWorld app in device Settings → Apps → VWorld → Battery → Unrestricted.
• Biometric login on iPhone 8 and earlier (Touch ID generation) requires re-enrolment after the v2.5 update. Newer devices upgrade seamlessly.

What's coming next

Version 2.6 is targeted for May 2026 and will add a redesigned live dealer lobby, multi-language voice notifications for jackpot wins, and an in-app responsible gambling dashboard with session-time tracking and personalised limit suggestions. We'll publish full release notes when v2.6 ships.
